Instrumentalists are encouraged to play pieces from the treasury of sacred music by composers of various eras and cultures. (SttL 90-92)Within the Catholic Sacred Music tradition, the Brass Choir in combination with the Organ stands as the premier example of instruments that are "truly apt for sacred use", an example encouraged by Sing to the Lord and affirmed by the musical and liturgical tradition of the Catholic Church.
The Incarnation Brass Choir continues this musical tradition by serving at liturgies for Holy days and special liturgical celebrations throughout the year. The Incarnation Brass Choir serves with the Incarnation Festival Choir as the instrumental component of that ensemble.
